Philadelphia might be most famously known as the birthplace of American democracy, but you'll find it's an ideal destination for discovery as you explore its colorful neighborhoods, learn more about its rich history and delve into its spectacular sights and attractions.

Philadelphia offers a wealth of both historical and cultural revolutions, making it a key destination for discovery. The city is filled with architectural masterpieces, museums, performing arts venues, historical homes, and botanical gardens that celebrate the historical city's style.

Philadelphia’s many firsts include "first-in-the -US" institutions, including the first: art school, museum, computer, modernist skyscraper, mint, bank, and public library among others as well as the 70’s craft revolution.

Philadelphia  will greet you with flowers in full bloom, and moderate weather to enjoy the lushness and variety of activities. Bring comfortable walking shoes as the Olde City will entice you to walk its cobblestone streets,  galleries, parks and museums which are all within walking distance.

Philadelphia in May has an average high temperature in the low 70s with low temperatures in the mid 50s, with a small amount of rain possible.
