SNAG Exhibition Partners Support

SNAG is seeking partners in co-producing and/or supporting exhibitions that advance SNAG’s mission to educate audiences about the historical, artistic and cultural importance of jewelry, metalwork and design.  The exhibition partners program has up to $2,500 for support of one proposed exhibition for 2013 with an application deadline for proposals of October 15th 2012.  In 2012, this award helped support the exhibition, Transformation 8: Contemporary Works in Small Metals (Elizabeth R. Raphael Founder’s Prize series), at the Society for Contemporary Craft.   More information and guidelines for applying are located on SNAG’s Exhibitions page.

Anne Havel – Board Members Speak (July 2012)

I have a strong desire to be of service and I saw an opportunity to help that could be mutually beneficial. My “former life” could be of service to a fairly large organization and that interested me. I would now be able to meet some of my jewelry heroes and make a difference at the same time.

Sue Amendolara – Board Members Speak (June 2012)

I took my first metals class as a junior in college at Miami University with Lin Stanionis in 1983. I was not a very talented student and really struggled with technique but something clicked while making my final piece of the semester and I enrolled in a second class. I have been hooked ever since.
