Die forming workshop with Barbara Bayne
In this class students will explore the basics of die forming as a tool to make hollow forms in metal. We
will begin with a brief overview of the use of wooden dies and daps and continue with the use of steel
dies and a hydraulic press. This technique is a great way to make pieces that are larger or more
voluminous while keeping them light weight.
Students of all levels will be able to leave with finished parts to use in future projects. More advanced students may leave with a finished piece.
