Marilynn Nicholson Visiting Master Artist Workshop- Pendants, Lockets, and Wearable Boxes

Pendants, Lockets, and Wearable Boxes
Nov. 16th-18th | 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

Lockets evoke mystery and romance as they are hollow and may contain a message, sacred object, or secret meaning. The objective of this workshop is to explore and develop fabrication skills to design and construct pendants, lockets, and wearable boxes. Various provided samples and information on setting unusual shaped stones, hinges, and mechanisms will inspire many ideas. We will make jewelry more dimensional with added moving elements as well as communicate our design concepts to enhance the individuality of each piece. The course promises more ideas than you can possibly make in a workshop!

Marilynn Nicholson earned a BA from Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia and an MFA from the School of American Craftsmen at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Her education has been supplemented nationally and internationally by numerous workshops and courses.
