Pave' Stonesetting

September 8-9, 2018

The Pavé setting comes from the French word “to pave”, as in paved with diamonds. By closely setting small diamonds together with minimal visibility of the tiny metals beads or prongs holding the stones in place, the effect is one of continuous sparkle. Come join us in this advanced class where participants will learn the proper techniques for creating this brilliant style of diamond setting. These include, (but are not limited to), selecting the proper tools and burrs, sharpening setting tools and basic engraving to create bright cuts and decorative elements that will enhance the stones being set. All settings provided will be sterling silver and will be set with cubic zirconia. This is an intermediate to advanced class, so please be honest with your skill level. Basic setting skills are a must! Extra sterling silver mountings will be available for purchase at the studio. Intermediate to Advanced
