Make it Shake, Rattle & Spin! This call-for-action was made to 100 lucky recipients of the 2016 Halstead Design Challenge kits. Each kit contained 50 components. Artists were asked to create a kinetic brooch using the supplies and adding a found object.
When the results came in, the jury was impressed by the diverse work created. Every artist put their own spin on things! Blue Spiral 1 in Asheville, NC will exhibit the top twenty juried-in pieces during the SNAGneXt conference in May. Look out for some very creative surprises!
Brooches will be for sale during the gallery exhibition. Unsold work from the exhibition will be featured in an online sale on SNAG’s website after SNAGneXt.
