Voltage Exhibition & Sale

Voltage: The Power of Contemporary Jewelry is an exhibition & sale that seeks to highlight SNAG’s diverse membership. There are 3 main components:

  • Select pieces will be on view during New York City Jewelry Week (NYCJW) at Industry City, Makers Guild, 51 35th Street, Brooklyn, NY,  November 17-21, 2021
  • Select pieces will be included in Metalsmith magazine Vol 41 No 4
  • All submissions will be in an online exhibition & sale November 15, 2021-January 15, 2022

The power of jewelry lies in the spark that is generated by the maker and their unique observation of the world. The ignition of the creation process unfolds into a current of energy that infuses the piece with its unique story and an enthusiasm that can transfer from the artist to an audience or individual when a connection is made. Pivotal moments reshape and shift artists’ studio practices and audience relationships. This exhibition explores the profound impact of inspiration and the different trajectorial changes that have kindled an exciting emergence of new work.
