SNAG continues a favorite conference tradition with the 2020 Gallery Crawl. The Conference Exhibition Committee worked with local venues around Philadelphia to bring you inspiring exhibitions of jewelry, metalwork and sculpture as you explore all the City of Brotherly Love has to offer.

Wood and Adornment: Contemporary Jewelry in a Time-Based Material– May 1-July 25, 2020
Wood is one of the oldest and most traditional materials used in adornment. From talisman to shelter, wood has served the human body for millennia. What this exhibition seeks to address is a certain making and unmaking: a reinvention of our own world through reuse and resuscitation. Mari Shaw : The Noble Art of Collecting Jewelry highlights two important Philadelphia jewelers: Wesley Emmons and Emily Cobb. Also on view will be jewelry and ceramics from Alexander Blank, Gijs Bakker, Jiro Kamata, Chi Ha Paura, and others. SNAG’s Goldsmith’20 Exhibition – As a continuation of SNAG’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, this juried exhibition will both pay homage to our past and look ahead to our future. Goldsmith ‘20 will be a nod in the direction of our predecessors, with a modern twist. (more info needed)
