Working mostly with reclaimed materials, I up-cycle objects that were discarded or deemed as useless to create beautiful art objects. I typically forge non-functional mettal vessels through the raising process. I enjoy studying the physical properties of the materials I collect in order to discover their potential and then proceed to manipulate how they exist in space. I believe that through repeating this interaction doors will open toward saving more from landfills as I learn more about my attraction toward making vessels. I assume that being a collector of sorts in a society that is far from nomadic, I have learned to desire and possess objects and a vessel is a good vehicle for me to work with motifs pertaining to possessions and value in society and the perception of "junk".
