Profile picture of Caitlin Albritton

The story of woman has always started from the Earth up. Caressing myths of humanity’s ascent using nature’s treasures as my medium, my figurative wearable works explore the nuances of non-verbal communication through body language. Using inlay, the coupling of silversmithing and lapidary techniques, small pieces of stone are hand-cut to fit snuggly into sterling silver slots—much like stained glass or mosaic—to piece together narratives through exaggerated expression.

Caitlin Albritton is an interdisciplinary artist and arts writer who lives and works in Tampa, FL. She graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Painting, and received her MFA in Studio Art at the Maryland Institute College of Art.
