The work I create exhibits methods of construction using traditional metalsmithing and jewelry design techniques, processes found in ceramics, and glass working. The application and selection of materials complement the concept of each series through its physical characteristics and process.

Lisa Johnson is the Director of Jewelry & Metalsmithing and Fiber & Textiles at The Armory Art Center in West Palm Beach, FL. After receiving her B.F.A. from Miami University and M.F.A. from Indiana University in Metalsmithing & Jewelry Design, she was awarded as Artist-In-Residence at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. She exhibits work and conducts workshops nationally. Recent publications featuring her work include Metalsmith Magazine Exhibition in Print, On Body and Soul: Contemporary Armor to Amulets, 500 Necklaces, Humor in Craft, 500 Prints on Clay, New Earrings, and 500 Jewelry Designs.
