My fascination and connection with jewelry began long before I was old enough to wear it, much less, have an interest in or clue about creating it. I never tired of playing with the mesmerizing contents of my Mother’s jewelry box. Even at a young age I could see the transformative impact jewelry could have on the wearer. In retrospect I came to learn the transformative effect the making of jewelry could also have on the artist.

Many years later, on a whim, I took a Beginning Metalsmithing class at local city art park taught by an excellent artist, who ignited my interest and opened my eyes to the power and possibilities of creating in metal. The many subsequent and various classes and workshops fueled my passion for manipulating metal in all its many forms and launched me on a lifelong voyage of artistic discovery.

Mixed-metals, various types of textures on metal, whimsical or abstract contemporary designs are most often seen in my work.   The narrative necklace entitled Eleven Confronts the Demogorgon is inspired by the TV series “Stranger Things.” The Hidden Alligator bracelet named himself. The necklace entitled Vigilant Angel keeps a watchful eye.
