Claudio Pino is world renowned, especially for his unique sculptural rings. Whether exploring systems in motion, metamorphosis of insects or the pace of urban life, his designs always revolve around combination of colours and shapes. He is passionate about gemstones and fascinated by their properties. He juxtaposes icy silver with the warm glow of gold, calm green emeralds with vivid red rubies, complimented with the fresh hue of white pearls. Each of his design portrays a slice of life, a perspective of the rhythm and poetry of the world in which we all live.
Since 1995, Claudio Pino has been dedicated exclusively to jewelery design, particularly one-of-a-kind work. His collections have been shown in several exhibitions, biennales and trade shows in America, Europe and Asia. He has received numerous awards, including the Special Prize of the Cheongju International Craft Biennale, and the Steele Trophy from the Metal Arts Guild of Canada. In 2011, thanks to Canada Council for the Arts, Pino pursued a master’s degree in the study of platinum at Holt Academy Jewellery of London, UK. Pino’s work is always recognized by the innovative ways in which he transforms raw materials into extraordinary works of art.
