Atinuke Adeleke was born in Oyo State, Nigeria. She holds an undergraduate degree in Law from the University of Ibadan and a Masters degree in International and Commercial Law from the University of Buckingham, England.
She took her first jewelry making class from local artisans in Nigeria and fell in love with the process of handcrafting wearable artisan pieces. She has continued to build on that foundation by taking a variety of classes including metalsmithing and CAD classes at Kansas University.
She is currently pursuing her MFA in Studio Arts at the University of North Texas (Denton) and is an alumni of the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
She is the owner and lead designer of the brand Zuri Perle. She initially created the brand to cater to African brides and grooms looking for traditional African jewelry in the United States. She has since expanded the brand to incorporate a balance of her Nigerian traditional aesthetic and western experience, which includes CAD and 3D printing, making the Zuri Perle accessory perfect for any occasion.
Zuri Perle Accessories have graced runways at New York Fashion Week and Kansas City Fashion Week '19 & '20. Our accessories have also been seen in Weekly Style Magazine, Fox 4KC, Say Yes to the Dress, CNN Africa, Bead Style Magazine (US) and a couple of local publications in Nigeria.
Atinuke lives and works in Frisco, Texas
