I am captivated by nature and intrigued by mechanisms.  Often both elements can be found together in my work. I use many different materials in my jewelry including sterling and fine silver, gold, iron and other metals. I also work with glass, polymer, leather and various fibers. Recently I have been applying fiber arts techniques to metal.

As an artist I rely on experimentation and play to generate new and fresh ideas. I will continue to develop my metalsmithing skills and allow that element to show more predominantly in my future work.

As a child I was fascinated with jewelry.  My educational journey began with high school but still continues today.  Along the way I have acquired a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Crafts from the Jewelry and Metalsmithing department of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.  I have attended class at Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI and Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, MI.  Most recently I participated in a web based seminar through Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, California.

Throughout my artistic and professional life I have designed and produced my own jewelry line.  My work has been exhibited in various galleries and stores in the Lansing and Philadelphia areas. For five years I designed costume jewelry for an East Coast manufacturer.  I have also made custom pieces. This includes but is not limited to wedding rings, heirloom quality neckpieces and most recently a belt buckle.
