SNAG actively supports the education of talented members of the jewelry and metals industry, through financial support.
Lifetime Achievement Award
SNAG’s Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honor the Society can bestow upon an individual. This prestigious honor is reserved for leaders who have made significant contributions to contemporary metalsmithing throughout their career.
Volunteer Recognition Award
SNAG’s success depends to a large part on the commitment of its volunteer base. Inspired by numerous volunteers who dedicate countless hours to SNAG every year, the Board of Directors created the Volunteer Recognition Award to acknowledge and honor volunteer contributions to the highest extent.
Emerging Curators Program
This program began in 2015 and offers grants up to $2,500 to assist an emerging curator or curators in executing an exhibition focused on jewelry and/or metalwork.
Educational Endowment Scholarships
Six educational scholarships are awarded each year. Three are given to students, and three to emerging and mid-career artists. These are SNAG’s most highly competitive scholarship awards.
Conference Work Exchange
Work six hours at the SNAG conference in return for a partial refund on your conference fee. Open to selected students and new professionals.
Conference Student Scholarships
Full or part-time students enrolled in degree or certificate programs can apply for SNAG conference scholarships.
