Copper and Japanese Patinas
Copper and Japanese Patinas with Anne Wolf at Anneville Jewelry Lab
Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 9am-4pm - $140
Spend a full day exploring the different ways to patinate copper and copper alloys - we go way beyond liver of sulfur. We'll cover the mysteries of getting copper red, how to tease out the most contrast between your copper and brass, and of course all about rokusho (yes, there will be grated daikon). Intermediate/advanced students, bring your ready-to-patinate work to this class. We'll also have sheets of plain copper available for those just wanting to learn and practice the techniques and color possibilities.
Anneville Jewelry Lab is located in the burgeoning arts district of Liberty Station in San Diego, only 2 miles from the airport. In a park-like setting with many hotels and restaurants in walking distance. Workshop is upstairs with copious natural lighting and a limit of 10 students.
