J. Cotter Gallery in Vail, CO is seeking a Summer Intern for its Minturn studio location. The studio provides support for the gallery and operates as the workspace for Jim Cotter’s production work.
The right candidate will have good bench skills, problem solving capabilities, good communication skills, strong organizational skills, and must be proficient in basic computer skills. Experience with content creation and E-commerce is a plus.
The Intern will be cleaning castings, polishing, assisting with casting, and assisting in daily studio/business operations. Depending on the candidate’s experience, stone setting or gallery sales training may also be included. This position will primarily be in the studio, but may occasionally be asked to support retail operations in the Vail Gallery.
J. Cotter Gallery and Studio have been located in the Vail Valley since 1970. J. Cotter Studio designs and builds Jim Cotter’s jewelry and artwork using a range of techniques with a focus on lost wax casting using a centrifugal casting machine.
A private room with a shared kitchen will be provided for the intern’s stay. The length of the internship is flexible, but should be expected to run from late May-early/mid August, 2019.
