The Metal Museum is the only museum of its kind in the country dedicated to the advancement of the art and craft of fine metalwork. As a nonprofit institution with an education focus, the Museum engages the metals community and the surrounding region through exhibitions, collection of fine metalwork, educational programs, and publications featuring artists of national and international importance to the field.
We are currently seeking a full-time Repair Specialist. Applicants should have knowledge of casting, fabricating and forging; be proficient in working with multiple materials including gold, silver, copper, brass, and pewter; have familiarity with cast iron and pot metal repairs; and have experience with patination and color matching finishes. Welding and soldering knowledge is recommended. Strong applicants will be problem solvers with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
