MFA in Metalsmithing/Jewelry at the University of Kansas
We invite applications for the MFA program in Metalsmithing/Jewelry at the University of Kansas. The MFA program at KU is interdisciplinary in its approach. Students work with faculty in seven studio areas in addition to the three metals faculty :Sunyoung Cheong, Jon Havener, and Gina Westergard. We offer robust funding that includes scholarships and GTAs. There are also additional funds for travel, research, and study abroad. Most of our graduate students are instructors of record, gaining valuable teaching experience and developing strong portfolios of student work. The program provides rigorous studio and academic experience, with an emphasis on experimentation and critical inquiry. We foster a supportive community with a broad range of approaches to making, from traditional to the newest technologies.
The MFA application deadline is Feb 1, 2022.
