Conference Volunteer T-Shirt Competition
SNAG is bringing back conference Volunteer T-Shirts! We need YOUR help to create a fun and engaging design to help identify SNAG volunteers at the conference. The t-shirts are a way to thank our volunteers for their countless hours of help.
T-shirt design contest is open to SNAG members.
The winner will receive:
- A $300 stipend for their design
- Recognition for the design and award through SNAG social media and Riveting News
- A t-shirt of their design
- A shoutout during the 2018 conference in Portland, Oregon

2018 SNAG Conference Student Scholarships
SNAG is offering a limited number of Conference Student Scholarships for its 2018 conference in Portland, Oregon. We have changed our application process. Full or part-time students enrolled in degree or certificate programs will now apply directly to SNAG for conference scholarships. Deadline: January 25, 2018.
The Conference Student Scholarship covers the cost of student member conference registration ($175.00). Students who are awarded a scholarship will still be responsible for all travel to and from the conference, food, as well as lodging during the conference.

MADE highlights student work that challenges traditional and non-traditional ways of working using new and old materials, techniques, and ideas by the next generation of makers in the metalsmithing and jewelry field. SNAG’s 2018 Exhibition in Motion Accepting Proposals
Objects of Protection
The 2018 Exhibition in Motion committee is seeking proposals for works that offer protection, defensively or offensively. We are encouraging non-traditional proposals that push boundaries or have yet to be seen in a previous Exhibition in Motion. This includes hollowware and blacksmithing work. Unwearable objects welcome. Collaborations and class projects are also encouraged.
The event takes place May 26th, 2018 from 7:30-9:30pm at the SNAG conference in Portland, Oregon.

2017 SNAG Student Exhibition Awards
Nexus: The 2017 Juried Student Exhibition highlighted student work that challenges traditional and non-traditional ways of working using new and old materials, techniques, and ideas by the next generation of makers in the metalsmithing and jewelry field. The exhibition was held in May during the SNAG conference in New Orleans.
